Ladies and gentleman,

I have started this blog to make you aware of a serious plight that affects a couple billion people on earth: domainlessness.

Believe it or not, I'm domainless. I have a job and an apartment and a middle class American family. I even have a college degree (which I once left at Lisa's in Boston, but I think I got it back and it's at my parents house). Even though it seems I have so much, there's something I don't have.

A home.

On the Internet.

See that long annoying URL? Yeah, I know, it's hideous. That's because I don't HAVE my own domain. I can't even afford a domain name for myself. In order to get an okay domain, like DunkinDonuts.com or ESPN.com, I'd have to pay like 20 million dollars, and forget a cool one like youtube.com. No, instead some bunch of rich blow hard investors got there first and I'm left with crappy domains like "heythisismywebsiterightheresovisititokay.com" or witty plays on already popular domains like "lonestargunner.com." Fuck! That's already taken even!

See my problem?

Do you want me, a nice anglosaxon/slavic middle-of-the-road college-educated northeasterner out on the digital streets while the big corporate fat cats (who probably locate their domains out of like India and China and Bangladesh) line their pockets with HUGE domains to live in?!??! ARE YOU THAT UNAMERICAN?!?
